Most people think that creating business page in Facebook is complicated or difficult, but based on my understanding and my own experience, it is not that difficult, actually. With more than 800 million users, Facebook is no longer a site exclusive for social interactions, but it can actually be a promising business platform – if you know how.
Open this link to start:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php. Once you are directed there, you should be able to see 6 main classifications as follows
- Local Business or Place
- Company, Organization or Institution
- Brand or Product
- Artist, Band or Public Figure
- Cause or Community
After choosing one category, be careful in choosing the name. After all, the name should represent your business
Complete “About” section. Give brief yet clear description about your business . Enter your blog name or site name if you have. Upload picture. The profile picture should have 180 x 180p . Add it to Favorite for easier access. Enter preferred audience if you target a particular group.
Now go to Settings, you should see notification, page info, and page roles. Manage them all to create a solid page.
Creating contents into your page should be the next critical step. If you want to grow your community, you can consider filling up your page with posts or cover photo, or even both. You can then invite colleagues, supporters, and customers.
To monitor the progress, you can go to top navigation and see:
Overview : your metrics like post reach and page Likes
Likes : to see how many likes you get
Reach : to see how many people you reach on daily basis
Visits : to see the visitors as well as where the visitors are coming from
That’s it your Facebook business page is ready and you can kick start your business.
